Biography
Cosmetology wasn’t my first career, but hair has been my passion for as long as I can remember. My fourth-grade teacher asked the class to draw a picture of what we wanted to be when we grew up and I drew a picture of a beauty shop operator.
After graduating from beauty school in 2003, I began my career with a nine-month apprenticeship at an Aveda salon in Austin. I worked there for two more years and continued to study advanced cut and color techniques through Aveda and Toni & Guy.
In April of 2007, I began assisting Nicholle of Hair Angel, an extension artist with over 20 years in the industry. I love the Hairlocs™ method because it transformed the way women looked and, more importantly, how they felt about themselves. I would literally watch their self-confidence sky-rocket! And, unlike some other methods I’ve seen, Hairlocs™ doesn’t damage a client’s own hair, so I can feel good about offering this service.
I was certified by Hairlocs™ in June 2007 and, while Nicholle was on maternity leave, I maintained her clients’ extensions which immediately gave me lots of great experience. I work from my private studio in Austin, but I can travel to you for an additional fee.
Since I am a fully licensed cosmetologist, I am also able to offer my clients cut and color services, as well as blow-dry, style, and make-up artistry for special occasions. If you are researching safe methods for hair extensions, Hairlocs™ is definitely worth checking out. Check out my FAQ section for more information and when you’re ready to transform your hair to the style you thought was only a dream, send me an email at morgan@hairgoddess.net to schedule a consultation and learn more!
